Fab-Weld Corp was started in 1964 by Roger Contant, previously Roger took his apprenticeship at a paper mill in Canada. While working at Uniaweld, he decided that there was room for another welding shop in the Rochester community so with a young family at home with his wife Jackie, he worked full time at Fab-Weld and nights at another job. He wanted his business to reflect his values and be based on honesty and a fair price. His integrity and good name was to be the foundation of his company. His first location was on Oak St. With a portable welding machine in his truck he drove to different locations. After Oak St he moved to Jay and Child St due to the need for more room in 1967 he moved to his present location at 280 Dewey Ave. His son Denis is now Vice President and also shares his fathers values and hard work ethic.
